The Diverse Sources Of Nautral Energy

What are the different sources of natural energy? Of course there is more than one and it is important to know the different types of renewable energy and their uses. But before we go into the different types of renewable energy I think that we need a brief history on renewable energy which is sometimes mistaken for only solar power, but we can go even back further then that. Renewable energy has been around for almost forever. Our ancestors used the power of wind to sail boats; they also used the power of wood to produce energy as well. This can date back to The Legend of Gilgamesh which describes killing the forest gods to harvest timber.

So what are the other different sources of renewable energy? Some of these other sources of renewable energy may include Biofuels, Water, Solar and Wind. These are all in the same way important and can all be used to create renewable energy. What does each of the different sources of renewable energy do exactly you might ask. Well I intend to break down each different source of natural energy individually and describe each one.

The Different Sources of Renewable Energy:

Biofuels - which are described as a explosive fuel produced from bio material, such as farm crops. The two main types of Biofuels are ethanol and bio-diesel but these are mostly used in car truck and home oil tanks. Biofuels are easy to use but sometimes may be difficult to find. But the also come from infinite sources versus finite sources.

Hydropower or Water ? is another source of renewable energy. Hydropower is created using the mechanical energy of flowing water by forcing it through piping called a penstock. This turns a generator which produces electricity. This is a great source of renewable energy because water is so abundant over 70% of the earth is covered in water. And its supply is in a constant cycle.

Wind Power- which in its own is a very easy process and is another source of natural energy that we use. The process consists of a wind turbine converting the kinetic energy or motion of wind into mechanical energy. This energy is then changed a second time into electrical energy.

Solar Power- Is another different source of natural energy that we around the world are used to hearing. This process consists of using solar cells that are made from silicone to attract in the suns radiation. These are also called photovoltaic cells and the process involves the movement and displacement of electrons to absorb the sun’s radiation and create electricity.

All of these are considered to be different sources of renewable energy. Our environment can impact greatly by learning how to use these sources of renewable energy on a constant basis rather then depending on fossil fuels which in turn pollute the environment. Instead we need to be improving the environment and making it better .
