Marketing On Squidoo
Posted by SEO Services in Marketing on July 12th, 2009
This is the second of a series of Free Advertising Techniques articles. The previous was on Keyword Research.
This time, we are going to look more closely at what is needed to make a good Squidoo lens. Obviously, like with any URL, you want the URL of your lens to contain your keyword. If your main focus keyword is “how to train a dog”, you want your Squidoo lens to end: /how-to-train-a-dog. This should be the main lens title and primary keyword for the lens. You also want this in the title and content of every module.
Lens Content
A good lens should have at least four different modules. A good approach to lens-making is to create an outline of the information you wish to provide. For every section of your outline, you can make a new text module. Consider you are making a lens to promote a dieting product (but don’t actually do this. Squidoo frowns upon these types of lenses). Your outline may look like:
I. Flatten Your Stomach Without Surgery (lens title and introduction)
II. Why You Want to Flatten Your Stomach (text module explaining health concerns behind obesity)
III. Ways To Flatten Your Stomach (text module detailing treatment options)
IV. In Conclusion ? Flatten Your Stomach (text module wrapping up and pitching your product as the best solution)
V. Learn More About How To Flatten Your Stomach (big link module to your product)
VI. More Resources About Flattening Your Stomach (featured lenses module, linking to your other lenses)
VII. Updates on Flattening Your Stomach (RSS module with your blog’s feed)
VIII. (Guestbook module)
Another optional thing you may want to add in is a flash video module that talks about the product you wish to promote if applicable. Also, don’t forget the power of quotes. If there is a really strong quote that you want to emphasize, throw it in a BlackBox or Talk Bubble module.
One thing you want to keep in mind is that you do not want content to be written in the form of a sales pitch. You want to just provide information to the reader. Give them facts and valuable information. If your lens has no value, it will be marked as a junk lens. You don’t need to try to sell people with your lens. Instead, just work your link into every text module. Whether it be a separate line at the end of the module that tells them to click for more information or linking text within the content to the site, you want your link shown as much as possible. You also will obviously be using the big link module to throw in another link.
Another thing to make sure to do is using pictures. People like to see pictures, because they catch attention. Make sure to have pictures relevant to the lens. Funny and eye-catching work, but anything that gives you a breath of fresh air from the text is good. For an example of how a finished lens might like, check here.
Once again, do not forget your keywords. Try to make them appear once every 100 or so words. You will also want to use your tags to throw in more keywords. In addition to this, tags should include any tags used by popular lenses on the same subject. Just do a search and find out what other people are using. This will link your lens to that category and increase potential traffic.
Create multiple lenses on every subject. Remember in step one that I had you gather a list of keywords? Obviously your first lens will be centered on your primary keyword, but you should make another lens for every other one of your top 4 or 5 keywords. You will need to alter each one a bit so it’s not a carbon copy of the other. Perhaps change the mood of your writing or angle of approach. This is also a good way to experiment with techniques. You can link all of these lenses together with featured lens modules.

There Is No Substitute For Pounding The Pavement

So you have just finished building your new website. You have made all the plans about where you are going to advertise online and how many visitors you are going to get based on the latest statistics. It’s going to be great, right?
A week later nothing has happened. It’s the search engines. Blame it on your key words. There is just too much competition. Your life’s work is going completely unnoticed and it is killing you. Well, before you go out and purchase a $2,000 course from one of the many web gurus that fill your inbox try some old fashion leg work.
Electronic advertising works but they have not invented anything to replace a firm handshake and a polished sales pitch. Of course you didn’t plan to have business cards printed or hand out flyers but it is a necessity in today’s market place. A lot of times business owners get caught up in the internet marketer’s dream of automated sales and the whole, “make money while you sleep” sales pitch.
Sure, that is great but it is not entirely realistic. If you take a look at the major web players, internet marketing is just a portion of their whole advertising plan. Pick a company, any company that is entirely web based and it is guaranted they have printed material and pitch men. It is just one of those things that are a part of business. Especially for a start up or growing business.
That being said, there are a few materials that any “real business” must have.
Internet Marketing? Online Business
Posted by SEO Services in Marketing on July 11th, 2009
internet marketing company Article marketing is more than just writing articles, although the writing is a very important part of it. The whole technique of marketing by means of article writing and submission to directories revolves around two primary concepts: traffic generation and search engine optimization.
Traffic Generation
When you have an article published on an article directory, you can generate traffic in two different ways. The first is through visitors to the directory finding your article, reading it and then clicking on your resource link to get to your website. That happens more often that many people believe. I have lost count of the number of times I have read that people do not read the submissions to these directories, and that they are useful only for backlinks to your web pages.
Nonsense: some of my articles are read over a thousand times, and that is good potential free traffic in anybody’s book. Not only that, but they are sometimes copied onto other websites, complete with your resource links. That again can be a good source of traffic. The secret here is to write in such a way as to convince the reader that they want to learn more - or just that they should click on your link.
Another way in which writing articles can generate traffic is for your articles to be listed on Google. The page on which your article is published in the article directory is a discrete web page that can be listed by search engines just like any other. Where it is listed, if it is listed at all, will be very much dependant on how ell you optimized your article for the keyword.
Every article you write should be keyword-focused, and that keyword or phrase should be contained in the title and the first sentence of your article. Don’t endlessly repeat the keyword, but mention it a few times, and also use vocabulary with the same or similar meanings. If a search engine spider, such as Googlebot, likes it, then your article could be listed for that keyword. This is not uncommon, as you will see if you carry out an internet search for any keyword.
You will possibly find a few listings relating to directories such as Ezine Articles or iSnare - these are actually article pages, and the author will have a link to their website published along with it. This is one of the major benefits of article marketing, and writing articles is a good way of advertising your website. A good search engine listing can generate a tremendous amount of traffic for your website.
Search Engine Optimization
Good use of keywords in your article is a form of search engine optimization, as is the generation of links back to your website through having it published in a large number of article directories. Article marketing is part of a good linking strategy, and writing articles is important if your web pages are to be listed prominently on major search engines such as Yahoo and Google.
Your listing position is determined by a number of variables of which use of keywords and links back to your web pages are only two. However, the links are very important, and web pages can achieve a high listing on the strength of links alone! I have seen many advertising pages on Page #1 of Google with no content but pages and pages of ads, but also with a whole host of backlinks.
It is important, therefore, that you should not only understand how to use article marketing as an advertising and SEO technique, but also how to get links to your web pages and how to apply good search engine optimization. Learn these techniques, then you will have taken a giant leap towards getting masses of free traffic because of your search engine listing. internet marketing is

Football And Website Marketing
Posted by SEO Services in Marketing on July 10th, 2009
Well here we are just about to start football season again. I read in the paper and in some magazines about the draft and the outrageous salaries that go out to players and coaches. Everything is so high profile and to watch some of the players is actually quite amusing. Most of the well known players seem to really take offense if they are not paid gobs and gobs of money for the work they do. I relate this to website marketing in a unique way. Football players are paid to provide performance. As long at they perform, they stay under contract. Staying on the payroll is a good thing, and occasionally if they have an outstanding season, they demand a raise.
Website marketing can be thought of in the same way. You, the website owner, are the coach and it?s up to you to find the players that are going to perform for your team. There are lots of players out there to choose from. Some players have natural enemies in the form of competition. Some players sit the bench and others are overpaid and under perform. Ever have an adwords campaign that really did not work? That is a player that needs to be fired. Overhauling them or rehabilitating them really does not do much either. You have to start fresh.
Start thinking about your article writers as team members. Are they in shape? Do they practice? Do they follow directions and the plays? Do they follow your lead and give you what you want? Link builders can also be team members. Actually anyone that you hire out has that performance accountability. You might as well get used to the idea that not all of your players are going to stay. Some need to be benched immediately and some move up to the starting roster. Don?t get discouraged if your star draft pick turns out to be a dud or even worse pulls up an injury. Finding the right people does not usually come from one company. You have to look around for them. Some you will find by word of mouth, some on Elance, some from a website you heard about and some from people you train yourself. The best team is the one that is hand picked and groomed. Incentives always seem to work well with performance based players. Don?t be afraid to give the stars the royal interview and splash their name around, they love it.
So how do you start? Well outsourcing is always a good idea, so copy what other people are doing. You?re in competition right? Do what works. Look all over the place. If you?re trying to rank well on Google, then put Google to work for you. Look in classifieds, and forums where these people hang out. Think of it as keyword research. You would not do a lousy job with something that is so important. Keep a file and a list so that you can be organized. Soon you will have the team you always wanted, and the cost to get them will not matter very much.

Strategic Internet Marketing? Your Online Business
Posted by SEO Services in Marketing on July 9th, 2009
world internet marketing inc The fastest and easiest way to set up a website for your home based internet marketing businesses is by creating a blog. It is surprisingly easy to set up a website if you follow these simple steps. You are first going to login to the back office of your domain account. This is where some people get really nervous because we are going to be going into your domain’s cPanel. Follow my instructions and you will be just fine!
For this article, as with earlier articles in the series, I am using Host Gator for my hosting account provider. If you use a different service the information will be a little different.
You will want to have your Username and Password for your Host Gator account handy before you begin, and of course your domain name.
In the URL bar (be sure you are in the URL or browser bar not a search area) you will type in:
www YourDomainName.com/cpanel
Of course, replace “YourDomainName” with your actual domain name.
This will take you to a cPanel login window. Type in the Username and Password for your Host Gator account and click Login.
This takes you to the backoffice of your Host Gator account. Scroll to the bottom and look for the section titled “Software/Services” and find the “Fantastico De Luxe” icon which looks like a blue smiley face. Click on that link.
This will take you to an installation screen. Fantastico gives you several options but for really fast and easy, as well as great, results I recommend you install a WordPress blog. So on the left hand side of the screen look for the Blogs section and click the radio button next to WordPress.
Click on New Installation.
Now you will see a list of domains that you have, but if this is your first domain name you will only have one option. If you have more than one, be sure the proper name is highlighted.
Leave Install in directory blank.
Admin Access Data: create a username and password and be sure to write them. This will be how you will log into your blog.
Nickname: by putting in a nickname WordPress will automatically sign every post you do with this nickname. You might choose your name, or some people like to use Editor or Administrator.
Admin email: this is the email address where you want to receive notifications. I suggest your main email address.
Site Name: put in your domain name without the www but do include the .com
Description : put in a brief description about your site
Click Install WordPress
Click Finish Installation
You are now on the Confirmation Screen. You will want to write down some information from this screen. It will show you the username and password that you created and it will also show you the address on how you log in to your blog and make posts.
That address will be www YourDomainName.com/wp-admin
You will also see that you can email these installation details. Go ahead and do that…send it to your main email address and keep an archive of all your important website information there.
As easy as that and your home based internet marketing businesses now have a website that is live. Of course you are going to want to start putting some content on it and making it look pretty, but you are well on your way! You can test this by typing in the URL bar your domain name and you will see there is a real site there ready for you to modify as you see fit!

Posted by SEO Services in Marketing on July 5th, 2009
When you create residual income you will get paid over and over for doing the work only once. Residual income also known as recurring income is a great way to make money once you understand exactly how it works.
An excellent way to build residual income is by using Online Affiliate Business. People don?t really think of affiliate marketing as a means to create residual income but there are some very good ways that you can use it to do so.
In this article we will discuss four methods that you can apply to build an income for the future and you can do it using Home Based Internet Business.
1. You may have heard about two tier affiliate programs. These are programs that pay you for any sales that you make and they also pay you a commission for anyone that you recruit into the program.
By recruiting a great group of super affiliates you will then earn a commission from every sale that they make and over time you will find that even when you don?t do any work yourself, your Affiliate Business Opportunities will continue to flourish from the income you receive from your personally
recruited affiliates.
2. Sell programs that contain a monthly membership fee. There are many training programs on the internet today that have recurring billing. By becoming an affiliate and recruiting people below you, you will then make money every time anyone of
these people is billed. This can, over an extended period add up to a substantial amount of money.
Website hosting or auto responders are excellent products to sell as anyone with an internet based business will need these products, as you cannot run an Home Based Internet Business without them.
3. There are people who make millions of dollars every year off multiple websites. By developing multiple websites and getting them set up on autopilot, these sites will generate traffic and
create commissions from the hard work done by the website owners in previous years.
By building websites in multiple niches and using affiliate marketing you can continue to earn money selling all kinds of products.
4. Another way is to create your own products such as writing an e-book and selling it through Clickbank. Let affiliates sell it for you and new sales will continue to be made on a monthly basis bringing you a further source of income.
These are four methods where you can put affiliate marketing into play to generate a residual income for yourself.
It takes a lot of hard work initially but the rewards you will continue to receive for years to come make the effort well worth while.

According to a research from the Nielsen Company, more than 100 million people subscribed for portal, Email, weather, News, business & finances services in 2008. Obviously cellphone has gone from novelty to true utility for people. Just as phone has evolved, hence there is a mobile commerce for nowadays marketers.
M-commerce means the use of wireless media as an integrated content delivery and direct response vehicle within a cross-media or stand-alone marketing communications program. Since mobile is a quite new media which is different from our traditional platform, in order to take use of this new media for business development , we have to be educated well about the basic of mobile platform integration and how to optimize mobile user interactions.
M-commerce basically have two definitions. Firstly, a relatively new meaning is to describe marketing on or with a mobile device, such as cell phone. It is an example of horizontal telecommunication convergence. Another more traditional definition is to describe marketing in a moving fashion, e.g. technology road shows or moving billboards.
Case Study: Johnson & Johnson Mobile Marketing Campaign
Background
Johnson & Johnson created a mobile advertising campaign which combined Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and mobile web (WAP) to build customer subscriber list, extend its branding reach and enhance two-way relationship with consumers.
Strategy
The campaign was aimed to reach young adult consumers. Consumers were directed to a WAP site via SMS where they could sign up and received a trial pair of contact lenses. The mobile voice call-to-action asked consumers to press a number to receive a link to the mobile web site then opt-in to the Acuvue campaign. It is easy to interact through the mobile devices.

Adding a mobile voice component to an existing text messaging and WAP multi-channel marketing strategy can let the company stand out from the keen competitive market. The company can cost-effectively extent their targeted reach and appeal to any mobile audience.

Johnson & Johnson also used 3G campaign site, mobile media banner ad placement and mobile game to promote their new product launch of DEFINE contact lenses.

How To Make A Good First Impression In Business
Posted by SEO Services in Marketing on July 1st, 2009
Ensuring your brand remains consistent across the entire marketing mix and across every communications channel is essential to maintaining a consistent and coherent image in any competitive marketplace and should be the first consideration of your marketing agency.vThe variety of different marketing channels available to any company today each have their own specific demands and their own rules. A design might look great on your business card or letterhead but may look completely different on a poster, tube card, direct mail piece, display advertisement or online in your website.
Print management with a view to not only cost effectiveness, but also how your brand is expressed to its maximum impact across all above, below and through the line channels is vital to effective communication with your target audiences. Central to all this is the initial corporate id design, aside from its creativity and how it captures the spirit of your proposition, how effectively it can be translated across all those myriad expressions will determine its longevity and impact. There are a few important points to remember when designing logos or corporate ID and here are some guidelines to a successful outcome:
A logo designed in a vector based program such as Illustrator allows for much more flexibility in terms of colours and will give you a much clearer image especially if there is text in the logo and you want to be able to use it in large format. Bearing this in mind, it is often not a good idea to use a photograph in a logo. If you can?t use a vector based program then design it large!
Stick to using just one or two fonts in your logo. Over-use of different fonts will often leave a logo looking cluttered and unprofessional. Any text used in a logo should be clear and legible, or don?t use text at all.
You may need to use your logo for a variety of different purposes and in different ways. Remember that what looks good on A4 print materials may not be so wonderful by the time it?s been expanded to fit exhibition graphics or a billboard. Whatever you create should be able to work well from the smallest to the largest of applications.
You may want to use the logo on black or white backgrounds or dark or light coloured backgrounds so the logo should work equally well as a stand-alone element or in a coloured box. Allow for the fact that your logo may need to be used in mono or single colour as well.
You have probably seen some designs that you like but try to make your logo as individual as possible. There is nothing wrong with using aspects from other logo designs that you find appealing, but in the end you want to be noticed because your logo is original.
How To Sell Anything On Ebay Successfully
Posted by SEO Services in Marketing on June 30th, 2009
Here’s a simple, ten-step path to top selling items on ebay eBay enlightenment. So you want to be a successful seller with your own eBay business, do you?
(1)You’ll probably see the ’sweet spots’ quite quickly - those one or two items that always seem to sell for a good price. Any market research data you can collect will be very useful to you later on. Take a while to sit and watch for what sells and what doesn’t out of the items you’re interested in.
(2)Pay special attention to any flaws their auctions might have, because this is where you can move in and beat them at their own game. Before you invest any money, see what the other sellers in your category are up to, and what their strategies are. Watch the competition.
(3)If the eBay prices you’ve seen are higher than the supplier’s, then you’re set. Get hold of a supplier for whatever it is you want to sell, and see what the best rates you can get are - don’t be afraid to ring round quite a few to get the best deal.
(4)Remember that it’s very cheap to try out even the craziest ideas on eBay, and who knows, they might just work! Don’t throw thousands at your idea straight away - get started slowly, see what works and what doesn’t, and learn as you go.
(5)The chances are that you’ve just found a good niche. Keep trying different strategies until you find something that works, and then don’t be ashamed to keep doing it, again and again.
(6)This is more for you than it is for anyone else. Work out a business plan: A business planebay selling service doesn’t need to be anything formal, just a few pages that outline the market opportunity you’ve spotted, your strategy, strengths and weaknesses of the plan and a brief budget.
(7)Set a goal number of sales each week, increasing it each time. Buy inventory, and start spending more time on your business. This is the time to throw money at the problem.
(8)Don’t worry, it’s not expensive or hard to do - a lawyer is the best person to help you through the process. Once you’ve made a few thousand dollars worth of sales, you should really register yourself as a business.
(9)This is the time to give up on the manual method and turn to automated software that can create listings for you, and respond to completed auctions and payments with whatever message you provide. You’ll probably find that you’re writing the same things again and again in emails or item descriptions.
(10)If you keep working at it then you’ll almost always find that you make a real breakthrough just when things are starting to look desperate. Even when it looks like it’s all going wrong, don’t stop trying until you succeed.
The next email will weigh up the case for and against taking up eBay full-time. But it’s not always as easy as that - there are all sorts of factors that you need to consider. The next email will weigh up the case for and against taking up eBay selling best selling ebaypart time. Once you get into the swing of things, you might start thinking that you need to consider.
