A great church fundraising idea…

As a member of my local church and of the choir, I have become very involved with the Church fundraising side of things, there always seems to be something to pay for. We, like most congregations hold a weekly collection and we have the christmas and spring fete which is always a great success but there’s never enough to cover the ongoing repairs we need on the building.

A friend of mine mentioned to me a few months back about asking the congregation to bring in their foreign coins that they have at home as apparently there are now companies online that will pay for it with sterling.

We used a company called Cash 4 Coins to exchange our collection, they were really helpful with hints and tips. We put out an appeal each week at the services for people to bring in their foreign change and they all did, we found it to be a very useful church fundraising idea and it is something we thought we could repeat annually. I think people were keen to partake too because they were just donating useless coins never to be used.

I thought I would just write about this and let people know and its a very good church fundraising idea and indeed for any other organisations looking for ideas.

This is the best school fundraising idea… ever!

As part of the PTA at my daughter’s primary school, we are always trying to come up with new school fundraising ideas to top up the low funds that they seem to receive, in a recent campaign that we did to try and raise money for the new sports equipment that the school was in desperate need of, one of the dads suggested a foreign coin collection, he had helped raise money for a local charity this way and by all accounts it had worked out very well. With 800 pupils in the school and probably 600 separate families we figured that was a lot of loose foreign change hanging around in jars and drawers at home and a perfect school fundraising ideas.

So we started an appeal which Cash 4 Coins assisted with the relevant materials needed and collected nearly 2 bins full, what’s more the children really enjoyed collecting and we gave the incentive of a prize for the largest collector in each year group. The children asked at home but also aunts, uncles, grandparents and neighbours. It was gigantic success!

Cash 4 coins ask for the weight of your coins and provide you with a quote based on that, they will then come and collect the currency by courier and we found that they transferred the money to the school bank account with in a few days. It was a very efficient service that I would highly recommend and a fabulous and fun school fundraising ideas.

Great PTA Fundraising Idea…!

Whilst at a recent PTA fundraising meeting at my sons school a few weeks ago we were as usual trying to think of new ideas and ways of raising the funds to pay for the repairs on the school mini bus. One of the mums who helps out with the PTA fundraising said she had discovered a company online that exchanges foreign coins if you send them off called Cash 4 Coins. We decided if we asked all the children in the school to collect all the foreign currencies they have lying around the house and indeed to ask all their neighbours, family members and friends we could probably accumulate quite a lot.

The exercise was a great success and we managed to raise over £1200.00 pounds towards the repairs of the mini bus, what’s more the children really enjoyed collecting and it was all achieved by using the useless change we bring home off holiday and throw in the drawer, never to be used.

I would highly recommend Cash 4 Coins for this Service. The process was simple, we collected the many buckets of change collected by the children, weighed it and emailed Cash 4 Coins for a quote, which we were more than happy with. They then had a courier come to collect the money from us and transferred the money across to the school bank account very promptly.

It’s a great PTA fundraising idea, give it a go!

The best hospital fundraising idea…?

If your part of a hospital fundraising committee and your looking for new Ideas, I thought I would spread the word about a great Idea I came up with last year for raising money for the hospital I work at. We needed to raise some money towards some equipment in one of our outpatient units and had run out of Ideas, a friend of mine who is a regular fundraiser for a charity suggested that I look at a company called Cash 4 Coins who will exchange loose foreign currency for a very good price.

Hospital fundraising is and ongoing job, especially these days with all the cuts we are facing and this seemed like a great way to collect as it can be an ongoing collection.

So I checked it out and decided to make up some signs on buckets and put them on all the reception desks in the hospital, we made an appeal for all patients and their families to scour their drawers at home for new and old foreign currency that they have lying around and bring it in. The campaign lasted for 6 months and by the end of that time we had accumulated tons of coins.

All I then had to do was email Cash 4 Coins with the weight of the coins and they sent me a quote of how much I would receive in return. They then sent a courier the next day who came to collect it from the hospi tal and we received the money in return a few days after that.

If your looking to help with some hospital funraising or for any other charity, give it a try!

The perfect fundraising idea?

If your part of a charity or need some fundraising Ideas and can’t think where to start as you’ve run out of Inspiration, then look no further.

Whilst trying to think of something myself a few months ago to help out with the charity fundraising for our local carnival I came across a great little company online called Cash 4 Coins that will convert all your foreign currency. When I got thinking about it and all the loose change that is lying around peoples houses in the Village I decided to start a collection, I put leaflets through each door in the village, told them when I’d be round to collect, I did the collection with the help of my 2 children and husband the following week. We accumulated 9 buckets!

I thought it was a great fundraising Idea as people don’t feel they are being fleeced for their hard earned cash and in this time of austerity it’s a real winner.

Anyway all I had to do was weigh the money, email the team at Cash 4 Coins so they could send me a quote for how much I would get for it. I was more than happy with the quote so they arranged for a courier to collect it all from me. They then paid me very promptly, within a few days of them receiving it and we presented it to the carnival committee.

If you too are looking for fundraising Ideas, I would definitely recommend giving,’Cash 4 Coins,’ a shot.
